About Woodcombe Lodges & Cottages
Woodcombe Lodges and Cottages is a small, family-run site on the edge of Exmoor National Park near Minehead. We offer high quality self catering holiday cottages and timber lodges, with just six lodges and two cottages set in three acres of peaceful gardens. Many of our returning guests tell us Woodcombe is one of the best places to stay on Exmoor for quiet, relaxing breaks with beautiful views and room to unwind.

From your lodge or cottage it is a short five minute drive or around a twenty minute walk to the shops, pubs and restaurants of Minehead, with its beach and seafront beyond. Perfect Exmoor Location near Minehead
Perfect location for walking and relaxing. This was our second visit to Woodcombe. The stay was comfortable and all our needs were met. The children loved the games room and the putting range – good fun. The grounds are beautiful and the owners have made a very useful list of things to do in the area. We would definitely stay again.
Great Venue for a Family Gathering
A great few days! Holly was a great venue for a senior family gathering over 4 nights. The accommodation was great, in particular for one of our party who has been disabled by a stroke. The self catering facilities were excellent as was the whole setting. Plenty to do in the surrounding area varying from sea to moor, to historic castles – not to mention the odd pub!! We enjoyed it as much as last year and hopefully we will be back again in 2026!
Accommodation is Wheelchair Accessible
Simply great. This was our 5th visit to Woodcombe Lodges, and we have stayed in Laburnum Lodge every time. The standard that Andrew and the team have maintained has been brilliant always clean and tidy grounds. The accommodation is absolutely wheelchair accessible. I don’t think you can beat the location and my second dog loved it as much as the first. All round just right what ever you’re there for.
