Woodcombe is the perfect base for exploring Exmoor, North Devon & Somerset and all it has to offer in the way of open countryside and fabulous walks. It would be a shame to leave your best friends behind. We are dog owners and are pleased to welcome well behaved dogs to Woodcombe in all the Lodges (apart from Cherry Lodge).
There are lovely walks from our door some of which run through open woodland so dogs can run free. The joy of where we are is that, apart from a few fields you need to walk through to access the open land, there are plenty of areas the dogs can run without leads – so very dog friendly! We have a number of guided walks with easy-to-read instructions ranging from 20 minutes to 4 and a half hours. I have one 2 and half hour walk that apart from about 20 minutes I don’t have to have the dog on a lead.
We do limit the number of dogs per Lodge to two (£20.00 per dog per visit) and ask our guests to acknowledge the privilege of being able to bring their dogs by agreeing to certain rules. These are geared to respecting other guests ability to enjoy their own holidays, protecting children on site and being able to leave the accommodation in a state to be able to be enjoyed by future guests.
We ask that
- Dogs are kept on leads on site and are kept quiet and under control so as not to disturb other guests.
- We have gates on our Lodge verandas to allow dogs to move around when in the Lodge but please do not let them on the furniture and keep them out of the bedrooms.
- Please do not leave dogs on their own in the accommodation.
- Please used the dog walk area for the necessary and place any mess in the bin supplied, there are often children on site and no one would like them standing in something awful!
We look forward to you and your best friend joining us!
