Disabled Access facilities and mobility aids

There are three Lodges with ramped access for those that use a wheelchair or have mobility issues. Our other Lodges have two or three steps onto their verandas and are then on one level.

Cherry Lodge.

Sleeps 4/5 and has wheelchair access throughout apart from the en suite shower room to the king size double bedroom. The main bathroom in Cherry is a wet room and we supply a shower wheel chair. There are drop down bars for the toilet.

Laburnum Lodge.

Sleeps six in three bedrooms, one double, one smaller twin and one large twin bedroom with en suite shower wet room with shower wheelchair. Grab handles are fitted and there are drop down supports to the toilet. It is possible to link the twin beds in the large twin bedroom to make one large double if required. The Lodge is wheel chair accessible apart from the smaller twin bedroom and the main bathroom.

Holly Lodge

Sleeps up to ten in four bedrooms, two king size doubles one of which has an en suite bathroom, one twin and one bunk bedded room that has a set of bunk beds and a single bed with an additional single pull out bed if required. The en suite bathroom and the bunk bedded room are not wheel chair accessible. A single adjustable electric bed is available if required (not a full profile bed).

General

There is a light weight wheelchair on site for hire if required (£10.00 per stay)

Profile beds and hoists can be hired from outside contractors but have to be delivered and collected on your arrival and departure days as other guests may well be leaving and arriving. It is not possible to remove beds from the Lodges so where equipment is hired we are happy to place the unused beds on their sides etc. to make room for the equipment. We can supply a contact for you to arrange hire who knows the site and will deliver and collect on our changeover days.

There are toilet seat raisers, chair and bed elephant feet and bath boards available if required.

Each of the accessible Lodges has ramped access for wheelchairs from their parking location adjacent to the Lodge.

The main tracks are gravel and while powered wheelchairs can normally cope unless they have very small wheels hand guided chairs will struggle.

Games Room

Guests enjoy our Games Room with it’s full size Table Tennis Table, Pool table and Table Football.

The Games room is fully insulated and heated for use in the winter months.

There is a children’s swing in the gardens.

Putting Green

There is plenty of space for children to play within our 3 acre garden and a putting green for the amateur golf enthusiast subject to the antics of the local rabbit and badger population!
